I fell to my knees, I broke apart....

A story of awakening to her full with potential with Sharon Fitzmaurice

I first met Sharon in a bookshop in Galway on the west coast of Ireland in 2019.

I was recovering from breast cancer and she was signing copies of her new book, Someone please help me….so I did.

It was a fateful meeting and the impact of it has never left me since.

Sharon’s energy and authenticity shine through and and although we haven’t physically met since that day, I just knew we would collaborate in some way in the future and 5 years later, we have.

Just a few months ago, Sharon contacted me to be a guest on her podcast which you can watch here and now I’m interviewing her on my podcast.

About Sharon

Sharon Fitzmaurice is a Holistic Wellness Coach based in the West of Ireland, dedicated to empowering clients worldwide to reconnect with their own inner strength and resilience. Since 2008, she has guided individuals on their journey toward healing and self-discovery, drawing on her personal experiences and deep understanding of emotional and mental well-being.

A survivor of childhood sexual abuse, Sharon openly shares her journey through years of anxiety and depression, which culminated in a transformative turning point in 1994 when she felt trapped in a cycle of pain. In her darkest moment, Sharon’s cry for help ignited a resolve not just to survive but to thrive. Determined to reshape her life, she began studying holistic healing techniques, building a comprehensive toolkit that she now shares with her clients.

In 2018, Sharon published her first book, Someone Please Help Me, So I Did, recounting her personal story to help others feel less alone in their struggles. She has since published two more books, further solidifying her commitment to promoting mental, emotional, and spiritual health. Sharon also hosts a podcast where she highlights stories of resilience and the strength of the human spirit, reaching an international audience.

Discussion about this podcast

Wild and Free
Wild Woman
Interviews with women who embody their natural, authentic nature. A place for conversations that explore the qualities that make up wild woman - creativity, passion, bravery, integrity, healthy boundaries, deep inner knowing, intuition and a strong sense of self. I believe that reclaiming our wild spirit nature is essential to womens' mental and soul health. Without it we shrivel up and die. I know because it has been my journey since cancer. Nurturing it every day is now my life's work.
